We offer four undergraduate majors: Consumer Economics (minor), Consumer Journalism, Family Financial Planning, and Housing (minor). Each offers diverse career opportunities. You can also minor in Consumer Economics or Housing.
The University of Georgia offers bachelor's degree programs in several areas of study at the Griffin campus. These are upper-division programs open to transfer students or those seeking a second bachelor's degree.
We offer graduate programs leading to the Master of Science, thesis and non-thesis options, and the Doctor of Philosophy degrees. The graduate program provides in-depth study in consumer economics, family financial planning, or housing within a broader, interdisciplinary context. Course work is centered in the department, but draws upon offerings from across the college and throughout the university. The interdisciplinary nature of the materials makes these related offerings essential.
